Mold Design
Extreme accuracy in mold design is Paramount to the production of a plastic part.
Utilizing leading industry software such as Unigraphics NX and SOLIDWORKS our design team can build a full representation of the mold, which includes generating core and cavity from the part model, parting-line splits, optimization of surfaces, mold-base selection, cooling lines, runner systems, gates, slides, lifters, ejectors, spacers, guides, nozzles, screws, and pins

Machining Center
The mold is usually made of metal and created using CNC ( Computerized Numerical Control ) machining processes of milling, turning, grinding. YongShen has a vast array of in-house machining equipment (detailed below) to achieve the requirement of a particular mold structure.

Electric Discharge Machining
EDM is a manufacturing process whereby a desired shape is obtained by using electrical discharges. Creating a controlled and localized spark of electricity of intense heat affecting the surface of metal. EDM can achieve the high-precision machining required for the manufacturing of die and mold parts better than any other tool.

Grinding
Grinding in a moldmaking shop is fundamental for the overall success of any injection moldmaking operation. From beginning to end, the grinding process provides squareness, a high level of accuracy and superior surface finish. Precision grinding in plastic injection moldmaking is essential in order to produce high quality, high volume molds.

Mold Fitting & Assembly
Mold assembly is one of the most critical stages of the mold making procedure, all the parts machined or purchased need to be put together and are required to function perfectly. The quality of mold assembly determines the mold precision and the efficiency of plastic injection productivity.

Hot Runner System
Hot runner systems are a means to convey molten plastic from injection molding machines into molds, ensuring proper flow rate and pressure, while maintaining optimum temperature levels. They are essential to managing and controlling melt distribution in the injection molding process while enhancing productivity, product aesthetics, energy efficiency, performance, reduced part cost and reduced wastage

Inspection & Measurement
Verifying that a mold and part’s dimensions all conform to the design tolerances required is crucial to efficient plastic part product. Inspection and measuring is carried out with our coordinate measurement machines and software, probes, vision systems, balance machines, calibrators and scanners.

Strict & accurate quality control for each manufacturing process is essential to meet customer quality expectations all necessary regulatory, quality and commercial standards.
